Spelling

Checks spelling in the active document, file, workbook, or item.

Error checking dialog box = this open when any error is present in a sheet.

a.     Show calculation steps = Open evaluate formula dialog box by this command we can check formula error but can’t rectify.

b.    Evaluate formula dialog box = this shows only error steps but can’t correct errors.

c.     This dialog box open when any error is present in sheet.

Share workbook = sharing workbook activate some options, but many options will become inactive such as validation, subtotal, filters etc.

For share workbook, book must be saved.

Type of sharing

a.   Internal = work within book. These options activate automatically saved data property after set time.

b.  External = Works between two books same book saved with different name.

Track Changes = Highlights changes to cell contents in a shared workbook, including moved and pasted contents and inserted and deleted rows and columns.

Protection

a.   Protect sheet = To lock sheet for unwanted changes protect sheet enter password and ok. It applies only on the current sheet. Current sheet will be protected if you want to protect the entire sheet then repeat this process on every individual sheet.

b.    Allow user to edit range = This allow selected range of cells to get edited, if user knows range password at last we have to protect the sheet. Otherwise range protection is useless. We can set multiple ranges of a sheet.

c.     Protect workbook = to protect the book structure some of the sheets properties such as sheet insert, delete, rename move or copy, tab color ete.

d.    Protect and share workbook = whenever where with protection, then while compare and merge no changes will be transferred.

Goal seek = To attain particular value result of the formula cell, can perform addition or subtraction by changing the value of the data cell.

Scenarios: - That enables user to attain a desired value by changing some data. A Scenarios is used to Forecast the result of the changing values includes in a formula to perform contain calculations. It can be saved with different values of variables under different names. It can be used to see different result with different values of variables.
