Cell-Easy Excel


Cell:-
Select the range of cells or cell and format their contents with the same font, style and size or same number format
Format cell dialog box is divided into six tabs:-



A Number tab:-
                        To set the format style on numbers choose category number (00.00), currency ($00.00), date (mm-dd-yy) time etc

B alignment tab:-
      i.            Set alignment tab = Text alignment such as horizontal, vertical and indent
  ii.            Text control :-
 Wrap text = set multiline property of single cell.
Shrink to fit = shrink data of a cell inside the cell width.
Merge cell = Merge selected cells into one cell.
Text direction = direction of the text to enter in the cell.
Orientation: =    fit of data in the cell.

Font tab:-
                To set fonts, font color, font style, underline etc.
Border tab: - To set inside outside border style and border color
Pattern tab: - to set background of the cell color and some style of pattern and its color.

         Protection  tab:-
Locked
Hidden
Locking cell or hiding formulas has no effect unless the worksheet is protected to protect the sheet toolbar – protection – protect sheet (a password is optional)
After protecting a sheet the locked & hidden cells data or formula is not visible formula bar where data or formula of a cell is shown.

Row:-
To format the selected rows
      i.            Height: - to increase the heights of the selected row, more than font size.
  ii.            Auto fit: - to fit the extra height of the row to the size of the font or content in it.
iii.            Hide = hide the selected row and rows
iv.            Unhide = unhide the hided row/rows; this will unhide at the same place where you hide the row/ rows.
Column = to format the selected columns
      i.            Width: - to increase the column width of the selected cells. Open dialog box
  ii.            Auto fit to selection = fit to the length of the text in the cell
iii.            Hide : - to hide the selected columns
iv.            Unhide : - to unhide the hided columns
   v.            Standard width: - it will display the actual or default width of the columns in a small dialog box.

Sheet

      i.            Rename =  To rename sheet tab
  ii.            Hide = hide the current sheet but can’t hide the last sheet
iii.            Unhide = unhide the hided sheet select the sheet which you want to show It will show all the hided sheet in the box.
iv.            Background = to set background picture to sheet, picture inserted on full sheet in form of tiles. It is not printable.
   v.            Tab color = to set tab color of current sheet tab.


Auto format
 To set auto format style of the pre define format from the dialog box. Choose format style from the list and set on the selected cell not on the full sheet.
It sets font style, cell back color and size of the font.

Style    
You can set the font, number format background color, borders patterns style give it name and can be reused wherever in the book not work outside the book.
This style is applied on the selected cells to apply on other cells, select the cells format menu – style – open dialog box choose name – ok
